Plants

When botanist Jackie Miles surveyed our place as part of a wider study, I assisted her work on two 100 sq. metre patches on the higher part of our block, away from the rainforest. She found 50 and 51 species in the patches.

Hyacinth orchid, about 2 1/2 feet high
lots of these to the south and downhill
Tim's Zinnias (in the garden)
Rat tail orchid
Rainforest roots
Indigophora. In spring the house is surrounded by these delicate bushes, because we have selectively weeded the native plants over the years.
