Albury: 9th March 2007 at the 9th National Rural Health Conference (Keynote address 2.30-3.15 pm). A great opportunity to familiarise health care workers with my project in the medical humanities.

Canberra: Sunday 2nd of July at Ginninderra Press' 10th Birthday Celebrations. 'Verbal Medicine' was most auspiciously pre-launched at about midday at Havelock House, 85 Northbourne Avenue, Turner, ACT. Thanks to all who came, and to Rosemary Dobson for calling to congratulate me.

Melbourne: Saturday 8th of July at 2pm at the Collected Works Bookshop, Level 1, Nicholas Building, 37 Swanston Street, ph 0396548873. Thanks to John West for helping me with this; and to Lyndon Walker, Doris Brett, Robyn Rowland, Jack Hibberd and Joyce Lee for agreeing to come and read. This was a great launch!

Melbourne: Tuesday 11th July I will be reading at ET's (211 High St Prahran) from 8.30 pm. This was not a launch or feature read but it was OK. Jane said I should have read more deep and serious stuff...the audience was not really satisfied. But otheres had the opposite opinion. It was a great night poetically!

OFFICIAL LAUNCH Byron Bay: Sunday 30th July at 1030 am, at the inaugural conference of the Association of Medical Humanities (ANZ): 'Taking Heart'. Verbal Medicine will be launched by Gillie Bolton of London. Thanks to Doris Imber and Andrew Leggett for pitching in. On the day it was cut all too short by disappointingly lax organisation, but we got our valued 10 minutes at a  pleasant venue with some wonderful people.

Brisbane: 26th of August at the Queensland Poetry Festival. Thanks to Andrew Leggett for hosting this launch, between 12.30 and 1.30 p.m on Saturday 26th August in the Rehearsal Space at the Judith Wright Centre in Brunswick Street Fortitude Valley
